About the role

Responsibilities
- Conducts preventative maintenance and takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment.
- Performs general carpentry, painting & plumbing tasks involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance on washers, dryers and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
- Follows all local safety regulations.
- Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions.
- Performs tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment.
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
Qualifications
- Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
- Is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal & background check.
- Be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

General Experience
- One year of experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of general maintenance practices involving the upkeep of buildings grounds fixtures equipment etc.
Specialized Experience
- Three years of maintenance work in involving painting plumbing carpentry and electrical repairs.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 50 pounds.
