About the role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Navy ERP/SAP Functional Consultant - Funds Management (FM) will support Navy ERP (N-ERP) sustainment operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing mission-critical SAP business applications by providing functional production support, analyzing and resolving system issues, supporting system enhancements and deployments, and partnering with government stakeholders and technical teams to improve business processes. The position ensures SAP solutions align with N-ERP requirements, operational needs, and SAP best practices on the NAVWAR CEBO PSS contract. This position is located in Charleston, SC.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day sustainment duties (SNAP queues, QCIs, special project meetings, release management, etc.).
- Provide day-to-day functional support for N-ERP sustainment operations.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP production issues within the Financial Management (FM) functional area.
- Gather business requirements and recommend effective SAP solutions.
- Support system enhancements, testing, deployments, and change management activities.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications, SOPs, desk guides, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with government customers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to improve system performance and business processes.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), knowledge transfer, and end-user training as needed.
- Ensure solutions align with N-ERP standards, business requirements, and SAP best practices.
- Provide bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Seven (7) years of experience providing SAP ERP functional support within a production or sustainment environment, including analyzing and resolving functional issues, supporting system enhancements, and collaborating with business users and technical teams.
- Experience supporting SAP ERP within the Funds Management (FM) functional module, including budget execution, fund control, financial tracking, availability checks, commitment and obligation management, and supporting government financial management requirements.
- Experience providing functional support within SAP production, sustainment, or operational environments, including troubleshooting issues and supporting system improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, evaluate solutions, and support effective resolution of SAP-related issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with end users, technical teams, government customers, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment to support SAP operations, enhancements, testing, and sustainment activities.
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting N-ERP or other Department of Defense (DoD) SAP environments.
- Knowledge of Navy Working Capital Fund (WCF) operations, processes, and business practices.
- Experience supporting federal financial management, logistics, or other enterprise business systems.
Schedule
- 25% travel required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $115,000 - $155,000. This position is eligible to participate in corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses and other rewards and benefits.
