About the role
The Navigator for Orthopedic and Cardiac Services guides patients through their healthcare journey, focusing on education, care coordination, and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored patient and family education.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans.
- Ensure timely scheduling of procedures.
- Monitor quality metrics to improve patient outcomes.
- Oversee staff training and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage financial aspects of care coordination.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in committees and ensure safety protocols.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
- Support community outreach programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in acute care.
- Experience in orthopedic or cardiac care.
- Active California RN license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and fire safety.
Skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
