Naval Power Finance Growth & Program Excellence Analyst
About the role
Join the Naval Power (NP) Finance team as a Finance Growth and Program Excellence analyst. Work closely with the Finance Growth & Program Excellence Lead, NP CFO & leadership team to drive financial excellence and best practices across new business capture, start up, and program cost control.
This position supports a period of unprecedented growth, with approximately $50B+ in bookings opportunities over the next 3–12 months from the signed Munitions Acceleration (MA) Contract framework deals for Tomahawk, Standard Missile 6, Standard Missile 3 IIA, and Standard Missile 3 IB. Annual sales growth is expected to reach over $10B+ within 2–3 years as MA awards are realized.
Responsibilities
- Provide focused program controls and capture best-practice leadership to help the business navigate rapid growth.
- Support centralized elements of MA program capture and startup activities.
- Lead the NP program controls assessment and best-practice improvement project; promote a culture of rapid learning and continuous improvement, including additional automation and consistent use of standard tools and practices.
- Serve as an SME in the NP finance program startup community of practice, performing Independent Reviews and partnering with ProStart and Program Management Excellence (PMX) to drive adoption of common financial structures within Naval Power where appropriate.
- Improve hand-offs of key financial items from capture to program startup.
- Partner with Product Line finance teams, PMX and Business Process Management to develop “common playbooks” tailored to different program personas (e.g., EVMS-light vs. full EVMS, production vs. development).
- Expand network across a variety of program teams, including DOD, FMS, DCS programs and other Raytheon Product Lines.
- Occasional travel between Massachusetts, Arizona, and Texas may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field and 8 years of applicable work experience in Financial Management/Leadership; OR an advanced degree and 5 years of applicable work experience in Financial Management/Leadership.
- Experience in financial controls or financial planning.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP, BW, PRISM, APEX EV, PM Tools or an applicable financial system.
- Experience synthesizing data sets and summarizing findings for leadership review.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The final offer will be based on role responsibilities, experience level, location, education/training, and key skills.
Schedule
This is a hybrid role. Employees work regularly both onsite and offsite, with the onsite ratio determined in partnership with leadership.
