NATO SEASPARROW NSSMS Technician (5242) with Security Clearance

Position Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee repair activities
• Train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:
• MK57 NATO SEASPARROW Surface Missile System (NSSMS)
• Associated LINUX based software and networks
• Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Position Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain an Active Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required NEC (Navy Enlisted Qualifications) in V31A or ISEA
• 8+ years of related experience with shipboard systems and associated systems
• Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret manuals and standards
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient with hand tools and multi-meters
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications
• Knowledge of 3M * Fiber Optics Technician Certificate

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools/equipment
• Regular verbal and auditory communication
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to board naval crafts, navigating passageways and steep ladders
• Comfortable working in shipboard and industrial environments

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $39.78 - $48.13 BOE.
