NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System (NSSMS) Technician

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System (NSSMS) Technician with experience performing comprehensive maintenance for Navy shipboard systems. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Navy 3-M system. You will install, inspect, align, groom, modify, repair, and configure equipment associated with SSDS platforms, including the MK 91 MOD 2 Guided Missile Fire Control System (GMFCS), MK 29 MOD 1 Guided Missile Launching System (GMLS), and MK 57 MODs 10 and above. Work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA, which provides AEGIS and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) combat systems for engineering, testing, training, and certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Navy 3-M system.
• Install, inspect, align, groom, modify, repair, and configure equipment associated with SSDS platforms.
• Work with MK 91 MOD 2 GMFCS, MK 29 MOD 1 GMLS, and MK 57 MODs 10 and above.
• Carry out duties at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience providing organizational-level preventive and corrective maintenance for any variant of the NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System (NSSMS).

Qualifications

• Related U.S. Navy NEC / U.S. Navy 3-M PQS 301 Maintenance Person qualification or higher.
• Experience with SKED scheduling system.
• Experience with lockout/tagout procedures.
