National Sr. Corporate Relations Accounts Lead

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic business relationships with national companies to secure 7- to 8-figure funding for organizational priorities.
  • Work with field leaders in local Heart Association regional territory to build a strong portfolio of accounts in order to achieve an annual revenue target in the $8 million+ range, as well as meet and exceed strategic account objectives.
  • Act as a senior level contact to represent the Heart Association with executives from global and national companies that are headquartered in the Southwest region of the Association.
  • Build a diverse portfolio of national accounts for national sponsorship and retail fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide timely direction, framework and resources to region leadership and volunteers while at the same time relying on their expertise, abilities and willingness to leverage their networks to drive the goals of the organization.
  • Lead proposal development efforts that best address the corporate account’s needs while meeting the mission priorities and capabilities of the Heart Association.
  • Cook up coordination with appropriate departments to provide support, service, programs, or senior management resources.
  • Work closely with operations on contract negotiation and execution that results in a favorable agreement for the Heart Association and A/R deliverables.
  • Lead company strategic account planning process within assigned region and portfolio that develops mutual goals and objectives, revenue targets and critical milestones on a multi-year basis.
  • Regularly evaluate and report on campaign progress utilizing the applicable campaign management tools and reporting systems.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of donor information and adhere to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business, Management or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of successful sales experience, particularly in selling intangible programs and services, along with the ability to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in negotiation and solution-oriented problem-solving.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience developing and delivering presentations to both large and small groups.
  • Comprehensive ability to prepare written and oral communications including thorough knowledge and command of business English.
  • Absolutely must have comprehensive ability to consult and interact with high level executives.
  • Must be able to travel at least 50% of time, including overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate sponsorship sales greater than $500,000.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and non-profit fundraising execution.
