National Sales Manager - Corporate (South Central Region)
Responsibilities
- Solicit and solidify business opportunities within your assigned market segment.
- Conduct site inspections for self as well as team members. Engagement includes initial communication and planning call with client or represented sales manager, details associated with ground transportation, hotel accommodations/upgrades, customized amenities, restaurant and show reservations and any other details that would support a competitively differentiated experience for the customer(s) to help win the business.
- Document all aspects of the customer’s experience in Salesforce including feedback and follow up steps for self or for the respective sales manager.
- Create opportunities to build stronger relationships with group/meetings customers by entertaining them when they are on business and not necessarily tied to a site inspection.
- Work in conjunction with Meeting Operations to attend pre-cons, plan daily meet and greets and entertainment of customers while on-site for their programs to ensure customer expectations are exceeded to secure the next opportunity.
- Affiliate in development and execution of key customer and industry events assigned that take place in various markets, such as travel and tradeshow opportunities within our Caesars travel schedule, as well as partnering with our representing Visitors and Convention Authorities/Bureaus.
- Represent Caesars Entertainment on assigned travel opportunities that represent your market.
- Effectively communicate property, competitive market and destination updates to Sales Leadership/Property Management to best represent Caesars within our destination.
- Build strong relationships with meeting operations to further build knowledge of property details and deliver-on customer commitments.
- Utilize the CRM (Salesforce) to document all aspects of communication with the customers including site inspection plans, feedback and follow up steps from on-site experiences, preferences and more.
- Absolutely ensure expense reports are completed and submitted by specific due dates.
- Able to negotiate and understand contract language.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on the sports market.
- Proven ability to close complex deals and manage long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure/conflict situations.
- High volume, fast paced, frequent interruptions.
- Must be enthusiastic, efficient, and work well with co-workers and management.
- Long hours involved, flexible working hours, and available on weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to travel.
