National Sales Manager
About the role
We are seeking a National Sales Manager (Non-Foods) for our leading FMCG organization. The ideal candidate should have 15-20 years of experience in similar roles, be willing to relocate to Bangalore, and possess expertise in packaged food, FMCG, non-food, soaps, and detergents.
Responsibilities
- Manage the sales team and ensure sales goals are met.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation to meet sales targets.
- Monitor sales activity and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Oversee promotional activities, sales initiatives, and operational processes.
- Drive sales through market penetration and expansion.
- Provide training and support to the sales team to improve their skills and productivity.
- Select towns and review the status on distribution monthly, attach incentives for new distributor openings.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance teams.
- Expand width and depth of distribution along with ensuring proper visibility and shelf space for principals.
- Design sales strategy branch-wise for the brand.
- Forecast and budget sales for the brand branch-wise.
- Conduct market research and manage new product launches.
- Possess a good understanding of the market and competition.
- Achieve key financial targets including Net Sales Value, Operating Profit, Operating Cost Control, and market share.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels at customer point, distributor point, and CFA.
Requirements
Only candidates with relevant experience in packaged food, FMCG, non-food, soaps, and detergents are eligible. Relocation to Bangalore is mandatory.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales management, market expansion, and inventory management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Skills
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and market analysis skills are required. Proficiency in sales forecasting and budgeting is also important.
