Responsibilities
- Develop and sign profitable new business
- Maintain and grow current customer relationships
- Pricing proposal preparations
- Customer service follow-up after the sale
- Prospect for leads to build a pipeline, including heavy cold-calling
- Manage accounts and grow share of business
- Create quotations and sales proposals for company services
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency
- Maintain and update accurate information in the company’s operating systems
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Business-minded, with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- 1-3 years of industry-related experience, preferably in freight solution sales, 3PL transportation, inside brokerage sales, expedited transportation, or logistics
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required
