National Sales Manager
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
About the role
We're looking for a National Sales Manager in any of our major U.S. locations, preferably our headquarters. As the National Sales Manager, you will lead and develop the outside sales team to achieve revenue growth and market share objectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, advertising, and customer service, to ensure we deliver high-quality products that meet customer demands. Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and foster long-lasting relationships with clients. Manage sales forecasts, optimize sales processes, and drive revenue growth across various channels.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute national sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of regional sales representatives to enhance performance and achieve sales goals
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners across the country
- Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management
- Collaborate with advertising and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with product offerings and market needs
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies to adjust sales approaches as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Set clear performance expectations, development objectives, and accountability standards for sales personnel
Travel Requirements: approximately 50% travel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of progressive sales experience including 5+ years of experience in sales management, specifically within the manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth on a national scale
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing sales teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Willingness to travel frequently as necessary to meet with clients and team members (approximately 50% travel)
