National Sales Manager
About the role
The National Sales Manager will work with the sales force within a branch office. This position is ideal for someone with 3 years of minimum non-asset based 3PL sales experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and experience in various types of freight such as Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and LTL.
Responsibilities
- Contact new customers and secure sales using unique skills and competencies.
- Develop systems and processes for effective prospect identification, qualification, and management.
- Sell and close new shippers, build a book of business, and carry out strategies through prospect contact, proposal development, and presentation.
- Work with transportation brokers to maximize load volume from new customers through ongoing sales meetings and strategy sessions.
- Uphold company standards and principles of Customer, Company, Office.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of non-asset based 3PL sales experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and/or LTL freight.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivation and drive, with a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Strong natural communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer and technology literacy.
