Job Description

The project manager plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The incumbent will directly manage both the project and the technical support personnel. This role is for Security Integration projects and is not related to IT type roles.

Essential Functions

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, time-management, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and leadership and decision-making skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviews project plan, time frame, and procedures on all projects and schedules project coordination meetings with appropriate personnel.
• Determines technical staffing requirements, schedules and manages appropriate resources needed to complete project.
• Manages customer’s expectations within project timelines and project budgets, forecasting and scheduling of subcontractors and technicians.
• Prepares and maintains all necessary paperwork for projects.
• Follows implementation procedures per job on a timely basis.
• Works well with co-workers in all departments and displays positive attitude toward the work and goals of the Operations department.
• Is responsible for the performance, demeanor, performance reviews and conduct of technical staff on assigned projects.
• Initiates and adapts well to change.
• Responsible for final system testing, job sign-off, and turnover of a quality product to the customer and SAGE Service Department.
• Maintains confidentiality and is able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background, and driving history).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree desirable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work extended hours, overnight stays, and travel as needed.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, light lifting, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in managing projects and technical resources.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Operating systems knowledge required.
• Access Control software programs knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to operate a company truck with acceptable safe driving skills.
