About the Role
The National Development Manager (NDM) expands Ryder's market footprint and shortens the sales cycle by generating highly qualified leads for Field Sales. This individual is responsible for national accounts, engaging in lead nurturing, and determining when leads merit one-on-one attention based on their alignment with the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and activity level.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish one-on-one lead nurturing using BANT qualification criteria to assess if a lead merits assigning a sales resource.
- Schedule meetings between Sales Qualified leads and Ryder Sales Representatives.
- Educate and develop prospects regarding Ryder’s Value Proposition and services offered.
- Maintain a high call volume to pass qualified leads to sales, set customer appointments, and generate revenue.
- Recognize customer pain points and offer Ryder solutions; converse on transportation industry topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in business/marketing or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) or more years of successful sales experience.
- Three (3) or more years of prior Inside Sales experience (preferred).
- Five (5) or more years of prior experience selling in a B2B environment (required).

- Ability to use technology and self-motivated to research and engage customers to identify future opportunities.
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
- Able to communicate clearly with C-Level customers and the Ryder Sales Team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated sales aptitude: assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated, and excellent closing skills.
- Good mathematical ability.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Mature and self-confident with the ability to work under pressure.
- Detail and goal-oriented; must meet or exceed monthly/yearly quotas.
- Able to prioritize work and seek knowledge in area of specialty.
- Aptitude for acquiring selling skills and product knowledge.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Pay
Base salary of $50,000 plus commission.
