About the role
The National Bankruptcy Processor is responsible for protecting the client's interest by reviewing loans for possible legal action and taking all necessary actions to protect the client's interest without individual requests from the client.
Responsibilities
- Notices of Payment Change (“PCN”): Prepare PCN referrals and validate PCN drafts prepared and uploaded by the legal team. Determine the correct prior and new payment amounts by using the client’s system. Review PCNs in accordance with all jurisdictional requirements and notify the client of any credits required and request system adjustments for same. Monitor and adhere to court deadlines.
- Title Review: Review mortgages, assignments, notes, and allonges to determine any missing gaps in the chain of title. Review and interpret client systems and update data per client’s expectations. Regularly monitor reports generated by the client’s system to ensure smooth and timely handling of files.
- ECF Mail/AACER: Review electronic mail from the court. Determine and proceed with any action needed in response to court mail received. Ensure local counsel has all necessary information to complete various notices and filings. Move all non-active files quickly through to closing.

- Participate in company-sponsored educational seminars. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Two or more years of experience in the bankruptcy and/or Mortgage Servicing arena
- Proven track record of dependability and punctuality required
- Usage of LPS is required; must be familiar with all Facets of LPS, including LPS Intercoms, LPS Reports, and LPS/ Client Directives
- Must possess basic understanding of the fundamentals of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 Bankruptcies
- Must be proficient with numbers and basic accounting
- Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet

Skills
- Software proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
- Bankruptcy and Mortgage Servicing experience
- LPS Familiarity: LPS Intercoms, LPS Reports, LPS/ Client Directives
- Basic understanding of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 Bankruptcies
- Numbers and basic accounting proficiency
