About the role
Aldridge Pite, LLP is seeking a detail-oriented PPFN Processor to support the firm's bankruptcy practice by managing Post-Petition Fee Notices (PPFNs), monitoring case progress, maintaining accurate client and firm records, and ensuring timely processing of bankruptcy matters.
Responsibilities
- Review bankruptcy files to determine whether a Post-Petition Fee Notice (PPFN) is required.
- Obtain and review all necessary documentation to prepare PPFNs for attorney review.
- File and serve approved PPFNs and update all applicable internal and client systems.
- Monitor and manage the Impediment Inventory, providing timely follow-up and escalating unresolved issues until they are resolved.
- Review, interpret, and update client systems in accordance with client guidelines and expectations.
- Monitor internal system reports to ensure matters are progressing accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
- Monitor client-generated reports to ensure timely handling of files and compliance with client requirements.
- Verify that billing entries have been completed as required and close files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation throughout the life of each file.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a legal, mortgage servicing, bankruptcy, or financial services environment is preferred.
Skills
- Strong numerical aptitude and basic accounting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based systems.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple case management and client software platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
