National Account Manager - Target

About the role

The National Account Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales Lead by ensuring the company's goals and initiatives are met. This role involves delivering assigned Volume, Net Revenue, and Trade targets for the Target account.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual sales plan aligned with Strategic Role of Trade guidelines.
  • Identify customer needs and priorities, and create fact-based selling presentations.
  • Maintain financial planners and leverage Excel modeling to analyze financials, valuations, and alternate scenarios.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps and plan execution.
  • Build and develop Tropicana Brands Group businesses across Total Target.
  • Manage Key Vendor Partnership (KVP) processes and applications with Target stakeholders, including strategic and tactical plans.
  • Collaborate with various functional areas such as finance, strategy, category management, marketing, GBS, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Lead all aspects of customer Key Vendor Partnership (KVP) process and application (SBP).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct selling experience, preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Target Corporation’s systems and applications, including SBP, VIQ, IMN, LP, TVI, CP, ICM.
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity.
  • Exceptional customer management skills.
  • Strong planning/organizing skills: capable of managing major projects simultaneously.
  • Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments across internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions.
  • Aptitude for managing in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to send and receive information clearly and concisely.
  • Superior presentation skills, ability to present at all levels within customer and internal organization.
  • Category Management experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Located in Minneapolis, MN surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating self-motivation, strong communication skills, and the discipline to thrive independently in a home office setting.
