National Account Manager - Hotels
About the role
YOUR OPPORTUNITY As a National Account Manager, you will steward collaboration across multiple Bacardi functions, our customer partners, to create value, drive top line growth and market share. You will lead market activation to deliver optimum sales across critical partnerships. You will work with our sales team in the development of custom brand programs to satisfy customer needs. You will be based in IL, NY, MD, or DC.
Responsibilities
- Lead: Steward processes and ways-of-working to inform, align, and enable system (Bacardi, Distributor, Customer) to support mutually beneficial business agenda and drive market share.
- Act as lead in developing annual sales plans and strategies.
- Plan & Strategy: Understand the customers guests needs and customer wants. Integrate customer goals with Bacardi portfolio opportunities. Heavily leverage insights, analytics, marketing tools to drive solutions, growth, and premiumization. Assess SWOT, prioritize business opportunities. Work with customer marketing to innovate traffic driving menu mentions for entire Bacardi portfolio of Core, Incubation, and Innovation brands.
- Sell: Meet with National Hotel Chains (ex. Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Omni), & Regional/Local Food & Beverage Buyers in each major US region. Partner with distributor On Premise sales teams, and Bacardi sales teams to foster strong account partnership. Build relationships among ALL levels of account base, penetrate customer organization to understand all facets of the customer business. Negotiate programs and portfolio support. Build insight, and customer focused presentations that deliver the plan for the customer and Bacardi. Participate in customer events that lead to strong partnerships.
- Reporting: Analyze business reports, collaborate on QBR, Chain Summits, and program post-analysis. Ability to forecast at the brand and customer level & mitigate risk when applicable.
- Innovation: Evolve menu mix and share to promote long term premiumization for the guest experience, back bar spirit rationalization for future menu cocktail development, social media engagement, and develop better ways of working within Bacardi and our customer partners.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related area
- Overall 8+ years of Sales experience, with at least 4 years on Calling on Customers/Chain Account Management, preferably within a spirits, or consumer goods sales environment.
- Relationship builder. Through active listening and understanding. Collaboration, value creation, and mutual accountability.
- Strong communicator. Both verbal and written.
- Distributor and Customer management experience. Inclusive of e-Commerce.
- Strong business fundamentals. Inclusive of price structures, RTM, and supply chain.
