National Account Manager, Federal Government
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the United States without employment‑based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.
As a National Account Manager for Federal Government at Spectrum Business, you will partner with civilian Federal agencies to guide clients through the selection of Voice, Data, Video, Managed Security, and Managed Network services. After completing award‑winning training, you will proactively acquire new accounts, convert them into long‑term clients, and prepare them for upsell opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Complete a 10‑week paid sales training program recognized with a Brandon Hall Group Gold Award.
- Develop and implement sales plans for assigned portfolios, including clearly defined strategies.
- Consult with established and prospective clients to develop tailored product solutions.
- Engage clients through comprehensive account management, face‑to‑face needs analysis, and product proposals/presentations.
- Identify markets, industries, and contacts for the product portfolio by implementing a strategic sales plan.
- Self‑generate leads through industry networking, prospecting, and working defined named‑account lists.
- Travel to and from assigned territories, client locations, and company facilities; primarily field‑based with fluidity between home, client, and office sites.
Qualifications
- Ten or more years of experience selling to Federal government agencies, either directly or through partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship verification with ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Valid driver’s license.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, high‑capacity networks, and fiber‑connected networks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
The base pay for this position generally ranges from $99,900 to $163,300, with additional incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses. This role also includes a commission earnings target starting at $70,000.
