Job Duties
- Generate new business through high-volume outbound prospecting, including 50+ daily calls to loan originators nationwide.
- Develop and maintain broker relationships by providing expert guidance on Plaza Home Mortgage products and underwriting guidelines, including Conventional, FHA, and VA programs.
- Manage client activity, communications, and marketing efforts using the Engage CRM system.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide timely loan status updates throughout the loan process.
- Deliver training and informational sessions on company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with accounts daily through in-person visits, virtual meetings, and phone communications to strengthen relationships and drive production.
- Take applications from wholesale source clients for client approval by Plaza.
- Affiliate with the creation and distribution of marketing materials to existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain consistent client outreach to solicit new business, loan submissions, and lock-in requests.
- Monitor company’s computer-based register on a daily basis for prompt cancellation of dead files and timely delivery of live files.
- Provide training and conduct informational meetings for the client base.
- Establish controls to track monthly rates, lock-ins, client contacts, monies due on extended locks, and other information as required.
- Update lock-in file and purge cancellations and expired locks daily.
- Update rate line information and email or fax information to clients at least daily.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- 1 year inside sales and mortgage wholesale experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success in loan origination within the mortgage industry; an established, active client base strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wholesale loan origination, underwriting processes, and mortgage industry standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a professional demeanor.
- Prioritizing time management while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation with exceptional client relationship management skills.
- An analytical aptitude with comfort working with financial data and figures.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet-based applications.
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and a clean driving record required for company-related driving.
