About the role
The NAGPRA Administrative Specialist (Specialist) supports NAGPRA repatriation activities and collections management systems under the Director of Tribal Relations. Duties include administrative, analytical, and technical work, providing support documentation, and assisting with office tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supports NAGPRA repatriation activities and collections management systems
- Develops or improves administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
- Interprets and applies policies and procedures
- Performs research when needed
- Provides support documentation
- Provides general office assistance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent administrative work experience
- Experience supporting large collections and data, museum collections database systems, and NAGPRA Repatriation
- Intermediate proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite, CollectionsSpace, Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) Database, Drupal, and PeopleSoft
Qualifications
- Study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
- Knowledge of Google Suite, CollectionsSpace, Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) Database, Drupal, and PeopleSoft
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Pay
This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt position with a salary range of $27.69 - $40.34 an hour (step 1 - step 20). Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 1 ($27.69 an hour).
