Requirements

• Must have NYS Teaching Assistant certification
• Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements
• Demonstrate knowledge of various assessment tools, including running records and other instructional assessment practices
• Implement instructional resources and activities under the direction of the classroom teacher to support student learning, growth, and progress across content areas
• Effectively work with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying developmental, academic, and social-emotional needs
• Exhibit a commitment to continuous professional growth and active participation in a collaborative professional learning community
• Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, and families in support of student success
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement and well-being
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the school and its students

Schedule

• Hours: 8:15 AM – 11:45 AM
• Effective: September 1, 2026 – December 22, 2026
• Part-time, 10-month leave replacement
