About the role

Mono-Woodbury Central School District seeks a Teaching Assistant for their Middle School program. This position is full-time (10 months), working from 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional resources and activities provided by a classroom teacher to meet students' needs and encourage growth and progress across content areas.
• Work with students of diverse backgrounds and developmental and academic skills and needs.
• Grow as part of a professional community to support instructional practice, student learning, and overall student growth and achievement.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative abilities with all school faculty, staff, administrators, and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the school and its students.

Requirements

• NYS Teaching Assistant certification
• NYSED Fingerprinting requirements met

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various assessment tools (running records, etc)
• Experience in implementing instructional resources and activities provided by a classroom teacher
• Desire to grow professionally in a supportive community
