Creates the Navy MWR experience for customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Models and acts in accordance with Navy MWR Starbucks guiding principles of superior customer service.
Responsibilities
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of the Navy MWR.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
- Communicates information to manager so the team can respond as necessary to create a positive working environment during each shift.
- Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful, encouraging coaching as needed.
- Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
- Delivers legendary customer service by acting with a "customer comes first" attitude and connecting with customers to discover and respond to their needs.
- Follows Navy MWR operational policies and procedures, including those for food safety, cash handling, and security, to ensure the safety of all partners and customers during each shift.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace so partners can locate resources and product as needed.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments using existing MWR organizational methods.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check; any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- Must meet federal suitability requirements, including successful completion of a background investigation.
- Federal workplace drug-free policy: All employees are required to remain drug-free; use of illegal drugs will result in penalties up to and including removal from Federal Service.
- Non-U.S. citizens with fewer than three years of recent residential history in the U.S. may be determined ineligible for employment.
- Selectee may be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
- Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required.
- If access to a military installation is required and the candidate or new hire does not have a REAL ID, identity must be established by presenting either one Acceptable Credential (List A) or one document from List B and one from List C as outlined in Navy base access requirements.
