MWR Maintenance Mechanic Leader

About the role

This is an onsite working leader position responsible for overseeing and performing repair services, electrical maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, grounds maintenance, moving and setup of furniture and equipment, and various other construction-related duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly and daily work schedules, sequence of operations, deadlines, and priorities based on maintenance requests and established policies.
• Determine which assignments can be performed concurrently or require sequential treatment.
• Make and revise work assignments considering personnel availability, skill levels, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare and maintain daily time and attendance records.
• Direct maintenance personnel in performing repair tasks within their position limitations and ensure final inspection and quality assurance checks.
• Perform administrative duties, including planning, estimating, purchasing, record-keeping, and maintaining facility and equipment maintenance manuals.
• Ensure all receipts and documentation are processed in accordance with NRSW regulations.
• Perform labor to support special equipment movement tasks, such as furniture setup, equipment relocation, warehouse transfers, assembly, and disposal of damaged or undesirable gear.
• Exercise proper use and care of tools and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
