Mutual Fund Specialist

About the role

Join a fast-paced operations team responsible for processing complex mutual fund transactions, including account setup, purchases, redemptions, exchanges, and account maintenance. This role works directly with shareholders, institutional clients, and broker/dealers to resolve inquiries, research account requests, and ensure accurate transaction processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining compliance with SEC regulations and internal policies while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process a variety of complex mutual fund transaction requests, including new account setups, purchases, redemptions, exchanges, and account maintenance within client standards for productivity and accuracy.
• Provide and respond to telephone inquiries from existing shareholders, institutional clients, and broker/dealers regarding transaction requests and specific account information.
• Analyze and enter trade cancellations, account corrections, dividend and capital gain corrections, check stops, and rebooking trades due to pricing errors.
• Process conversions, de-conversions, and fund liquidations.
• Research shareholder requests to ensure compliance with SEC, STA, and internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum two years of related work experience, such as accounting/financial transactions and customer service.

• Ability to collect, interpret, and apply diverse client/fund information and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient mathematical and computer skills.

Schedule

This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Pay

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $22.50 - $30.00 per hour.
