About the role

Technical sales engineer covering Southeast Hungary (Debrecen, Kecskemét, Szolnok, Békéscsaba). Responsibilities include selling Kennametal’s cutting tools and application support for turning, milling and drilling operations.

Responsibilities

• Sell turning, milling and drilling cutting tools, indexable inserts, tooling systems and provide technical application support
• Grow and develop the market: identify and acquire new customers, expand existing client relationships
• Monitor and follow up on quotations
• Work closely with key account managers
• Prepare technical parameters and performance data for quotations
• Conduct price negotiations independently
• Use and maintain CRM and internal systems
• Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports on time
• Coordinate tasks for application engineers
• Provide after-sales and warranty service support

Requirements

• University degree in engineering or maintenance engineering, or equivalent training
• Several years of hands-on experience with metal-forming and cutting machines, CNC machines, modern drilling systems (lathes, milling machines, drilling machines)
• Strong knowledge of materials
• Familiarity with production processes, quality assurance systems and standards, and segments of the automotive and general engineering market
• Experience in maintaining business relationships
• Field experience is an advantage
• Confident, persuasive demeanor in customer negotiations
• Fluent spoken English or German
• Solid computer skills (MS Office suite)
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
