Music/Worship Pastor

About the Role

The Music/Worship Pastor will plan, lead, and coordinate all aspects of the church’s music ministry, working closely with the Pastor and staff to create meaningful worship experiences that glorify God and engage the congregation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead music for weekly worship services and special services
• Direct and develop choirs, ensembles, and/or praise teams
• Select music that is theologically sound and appropriate for congregational worship
• Coordinate rehearsals and schedules for musicians and vocalists
• Work collaboratively with pastoral staff and church leadership
• Oversee music ministry volunteers and encourage spiritual growth within the team
• Assist with special events, seasonal programs, and church-wide services as needed

Requirements

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a calling to music ministry
• Experience leading church music ministry (education in music or ministry preferred)
• Ability to work with both traditional and contemporary worship styles
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Willingness to support the mission and values of Westwood Baptist Church
