About the role

This position is focused on Adult Palliative, Adult Oncology, and Pain Management with back up to the Children's Hospital Music Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Develops, administers, and coordinates music activities and programs.
• Serves as the patient's advocate when collaborating with the healthcare team to determine suitable therapeutic interventions.
• Implements an individualized music therapy treatment plan that is consistent with any other developmental, rehabilitative, habilitative, medical, mental health, preventive, wellness care, or educational services being provided to the client.
• Promotes family-centered care and facilitates the strengthening of positive coping and resiliency skills within the healthcare setting.
• Provides ongoing assessment of interventions used.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy required.
• Certification as Music Therapist – Board Certified required from the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
• In North Dakota, licensure as a Music Therapist with the State Board of Integrative Health Care required.

Pay

Salary Range: $20.50 - $33.00 per hour
