Music Therapist – Board Certified (MT-BC)

About the role

This position offers an opportunity to establish a music therapy services with an integrative and collaborative team of professionals. It involves creating outpatient mental health groups for children, teens, and young adults, telehealth music therapy services, and policies and procedures for music therapy evaluation and treatment.

Responsibilities

- Re-establish clinical procedures and processes under the guidance of the Clinical Director. - Develop and lead outpatient mental health groups for children, teens, and young adults. - Provide telehealth music therapy services. - Establish and implement policies and procedures for music therapy evaluation and treatment. - Collaborate with other disciplines including psychologists, mental health counselors, and behavior analysts. - Obtain credentials as a Registered Behavior Technician (company sponsored). - Work independently and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Requirements

- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) certification. - 2-5 years of experience working as a music therapist in various clinical settings, with preference for mental health settings, group homes, and children with developmental disabilities and autism. - Strong clinical skills and experience working with individuals and groups. - Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented personality. - Excellent communication skills. - Reliable transportation and ability to work independently. - Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field. - Current MT-BC certification. - Experience in outpatient mental health settings. - Experience working with children, teens, and young adults. - Experience with group home settings and children with developmental disabilities and autism. - Experience with telehealth services. - Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures for music therapy evaluation and treatment.
