Music Instructor

About the role

School of Rock is a nationwide after-school music program for students age 3-adult. We teach guitar, bass, drums, piano/keys, and vocals. We emphasize playing as part of a group in addition to small group and individual private lessons. We have locations in Ankeny, West Des Moines, and Marion, IA.

Requirements

• Passionate musician with a high level of proficiency in the instruments we teach (guitar, bass, drums, piano/keys, vocals)
• Education in music and/or gigging experience preferred

Schedule

• Flexible hours – open evenings Mon-Thurs from 2-9pm, and Sat from 10-4pm
• Choose the days/times you want to teach and we'll fill your time with students

Pay

Starting pay is $15-17/hr depending on proficiency, education, gigging experience, and number of instruments you're able to teach.

Resources & support

• Studio and educational resources provided – you are welcome to bring your own resources as well
• We schedule your students and collect the tuition – all you need to do is come in ready to give awesome lessons to inspire and educate our students
