Music Instructor
About the role
School of Rock is a performance-based after-school music program for students age 3 through adult. We teach guitar, bass, drums, piano/keys, and vocals, emphasizing playing as part of a group in addition to small-group and individual private lessons. We have locations in Ankeny, West Des Moines, and Marion, IA. We're looking for passionate musicians with a high level of proficiency in the instruments we teach to share their knowledge with our students. If you have education in music and/or gigging experience, you likely have the skills we need. Right now we are especially looking for guitar instructors, though we always have a need for instructors on all the instruments we teach. We provide the studio and educational resources; you are welcome to bring your own resources as well. We schedule your students and collect the tuition — all you need to do is come in ready to give awesome lessons that inspire and educate. Relaxed, fun environment!
