About the Role
The Department of Music and Theatre Arts seeks a candidate to teach class piano and applied piano, and to contribute to departmental needs as a collaborative pianist.
Responsibilities
- Teach ten credits including courses in the class piano curriculum and applied lessons to music majors.
- Provide the equivalent of five credits of work as a collaborative pianist to cover needs of the department, including some combination of degree recitals, Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop, ensembles, and faculty/guest artist recitals, determined in consultation with the Department Chair and Keyboard Area coordinator.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree required, doctorate preferred.
- Demonstrated success as a collaborative pianist.
- Demonstrated success teaching class piano and applied piano at the collegiate level is desired.
