In Part One, the intern will research and build a marketing plan, meeting with internal Business Sales and Strategy Marketing team members as well as external contacts like the Museum Store Association and industry experts, then present a plan with 2 to 3 strategies, supporting tactics, and revenue metrics to Museum Store leadership. In Part Two, the intern will implement that plan by learning the back-end operations of the Shopify website, improving the site’s layout, adding new products, and presenting the results of their work. Essential Responsibilities Gather knowledge internally and externally to inform a Museum Store online sales strategyBuild a marketing plan with 2 to 3 strategies, supporting tactics, and revenue metricsPresent the finalized plan to Business Sales and Strategy and Museum Store leadershipLearn the back-end operations of the Shopify websiteEnhance the website’s layout and product presentation, and implement changesAdd 50 additional items to the websitePresent results of the implemented plan to Museum Store leadership Key Details Compensation: $15.50/hour Duration: Spring 2027 Schedule: PT (15 hours/week) Deadline: ASAP (estimated early November 2026) Eligibility Requirements Completion of more than one year of college courseworkPreferred major or field of study: digital marketing or retailWorking knowledge of website structureExperience or coursework in building a marketing planUnderstanding of how to motivate adult shoppers purchasing for childrenDesire to have a measurable impactPart-time position, approximately 15 hours per week Ada Requirements Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and leadership, with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to move throughout the Museum Store as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
