About the Role

This position is for an Ambulatory Procedural Registered Nurse and may be filled at multiple career levels based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and demonstrated skill set. All qualified applicants will undergo assessment through interviews and job-related evaluations to determine the appropriate placement within the practice setting. The final position level and compensation will be determined at the time of offer, based on assessed competencies, experience, and alignment with role requirements.

Ambulatory Procedural nurses provide direct patient care in outpatient procedural settings, supporting patients before, during, and after diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include procedural preparation, continuous patient monitoring, sedation support or administration (as credentialed), recovery, and discharge. These nurses coordinate care with procedural teams to ensure patient safety, effective workflow, and timely intervention across varying levels of procedural complexity and patient acuity.

Career Levels

  • Nurse Level 1 (N1) – Supervised Learner: Entry-level nurse developing foundational clinical skills while providing patient care under close supervision.
  • Nurse Level 2 (N2) – Independent Practitioner: Developing nurse who independently manages routine patient care and escalates complex clinical needs as appropriate.
  • Nurse Level 3 (N3) – Confident Practitioner: Experienced nurse who independently manages typical patient complexity, anticipates needs, and adapts care to clinical variations.

Different career levels may require additional certification, education, and experience to qualify for placement.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact if switching residency to Utah.
  • Must maintain a current Interstate Compact (multi-state) license if residency is not being changed to Utah.
  • Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
