About the role

MUSC Health Primary Care – Bamberg is seeking a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing primary care team. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Conduct preventive health visits, annual wellness exams, and chronic disease management
  • Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based practice
  • Order, interpret, and utilize laboratory and diagnostic testing to guide treatment decisions
  • Care for patients in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as appropriate
  • Document and bill for direct patient care services
  • Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and accreditation activities
  • Potential opportunity to precept APP students and support the development of new team members

Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Current South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure as an NP or PA
  • Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • DEA and applicable state prescribing credentials prior to start date
  • Two years of family medicine experience preferred
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care
  • Commitment to improving health outcomes in an underserved community

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
  • Current South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure as an NP or PA
  • Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • DEA and applicable state prescribing credentials prior to start date
  • Two years of family medicine experience preferred
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care
  • Commitment to improving health outcomes in an underserved community
