About the role
MUSC Health Primary Care – Bamberg is seeking a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing primary care team. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
- Conduct preventive health visits, annual wellness exams, and chronic disease management
- Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based practice
- Order, interpret, and utilize laboratory and diagnostic testing to guide treatment decisions
- Care for patients in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as appropriate
- Document and bill for direct patient care services
- Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and accreditation activities
- Potential opportunity to precept APP students and support the development of new team members
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure as an NP or PA
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
- DEA and applicable state prescribing credentials prior to start date
- Two years of family medicine experience preferred
- Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care
- Commitment to improving health outcomes in an underserved community
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
- Current South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure as an NP or PA
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
- DEA and applicable state prescribing credentials prior to start date
- Two years of family medicine experience preferred
- Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care
- Commitment to improving health outcomes in an underserved community
