Responsibilities
- Drafting ordinances and resolutions
- Dealing with open meeting laws
- Land use and planning
- Conflicts of interest
- Free speech regulations
- Public safety issues
- Election law matters
- Other issues surrounding public agency clients
Requirements
Candidates must be admitted to practice in California and possess at least 3-5 years of experience practicing municipal transactional law, with a strong emphasis on handling public meetings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of municipal law and experience in areas such as open meeting laws, land use and planning, conflicts of interest, free speech regulations, public safety issues, and election law matters.
Skills
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal research tools are also beneficial.
Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a reasonable expected pay scale of $127,500 - $185,000, with the actual salary depending on the candidate’s years of practice and experience.
