What You'll Do
- Court Appearances - Prepare, appear timely, and properly handle court appearances within travel distance. Ensure reliable and timely appearances at courthouses.
- Court Coverage Placements - Review and request coverage for court calls where an Associate will not appear. Attach necessary documents and orders for coverage.
- Mid Litigation Motions and Responses - Draft, review, and file necessary motions during litigation.
- Trials and Arbitrations - Prepare for trials and arbitrations as necessary, which may include overnight stays in distant counties.
- Communications - Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers as necessary to resolve accounts and suits.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of Missouri to practice law.
- Additional licensing in other states (IA, OR, IL, NY, NE, ID, CA, WA, AK, HI, NV) is welcomed.
- Comfortable appearing in court and consistent on-time appearances using personal transportation.
- Multi-tasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
