About the role

The Municipal Court Prosecutor is responsible for representing the city in court proceedings, ensuring fair treatment of all parties involved.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the city in civil and criminal court cases
  • Prepare and present legal arguments and evidence
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel
  • Manage case files and deadlines
  • Stay updated on municipal laws and court procedures

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Bar admission in Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Experience in municipal or local government law
  • Knowledge of Texas municipal laws and court procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

$60,000 - $70,000 annually

Schedule
