About the role

Ecowaste Solutions is a rapidly growing company in a stable industry, providing waste and recycling services to communities across multiple states. The Regional Municipal Account Manager will own growth directly, managing new contracts, renewals, and building relationships with city and county decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of new municipal partnerships, developing multi-year strategies to stay ahead of competitive bids.
  • Represent the company at public meetings, councils, and community events, maintaining ongoing relationships that lead to renewals.
  • Own the full contract lifecycle, from initial agreement through renewal, including negotiating terms that protect margin, lock in renewal windows, and reduce operational exposure.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management by staying current on contractual and regulatory obligations, such as certificates of insurance, performance bonds, reporting requirements, and fee structures.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to resolve service issues, billing disputes, and operational breakdowns that escalate to the municipal level.
  • Develop pricing, scope, and proposal content for new opportunities, working with marketing and operations to prepare competitive submissions.
  • Maintain a forward-looking pipeline to avoid surprises on the growth side.

Requirements

  • Experience managing complex, multi-year sales cycles with large institutional or commercial accounts.
  • Experience negotiating and renewing service contracts, ideally with multiple stakeholders involved.
  • Accountability for revenue retention and new business development on the same territory.
  • Experience resolving issues without losing the client relationship.
  • Organized portfolio of accounts with different timelines, terms, and requirements.
  • Experience with government, utilities, facilities services, logistics, or other regulated industries is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • No specific background in waste, recycling, or municipal government is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the assigned territory is required.
