About the role
Ecowaste Solutions is a rapidly growing company in a stable industry, focusing on waste and recycling services. You will own the growth and new business directly, managing long-term municipal partnerships and building relationships with city and county decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a pipeline of new municipal partnerships, developing multi-year strategies to stay ahead of competitive bids.
- Represent the company at public meetings, councils, and community events, maintaining ongoing relationships that ensure renewals are a foregone conclusion.
- Own the full contract lifecycle from initial agreement through renewal, including negotiating terms that protect margin, lock in renewal windows, and reduce operational exposure.
- Ensure compliance and risk management by staying current on contractual and regulatory obligations, such as certificates of insurance, performance bonds, reporting requirements, and fee structures.
- Coordinate across internal teams to resolve service issues, billing disputes, and operational breakdowns, keeping the relationship intact.
- Develop pricing, scope, and proposal content for new opportunities, working with marketing and operations to prepare competitive submissions.
- Build and maintain a forward-looking pipeline to avoid surprises on the growth side.
Requirements
- Experience managing complex, multi-year sales cycles with large institutional or commercial accounts.
- Negotiation and renewal of service contracts, often involving multiple stakeholders.
- Accountability for revenue retention and new business development within the same territory.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues without losing the client relationship.
- Organized portfolio of accounts with different timelines, terms, and requirements.
- Experience in government, utilities, facilities services, logistics, or other regulated industries is a plus but not required.
