About the role

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boise State University invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. One position is open rank, and the second will be filled at the assistant professor rank. We seek candidates with a passion for research, teaching, mentoring, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Build a robust, externally funded research program

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and students
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary research initiatives

Requirements

  • A PhD in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, is required for all ranks.
  • Assistant Professor: PhD by the time of appointment.
  • Associate Professor: In addition to the PhD, the equivalent of at least five full years of service as an Assistant Professor at an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Full Professor: In addition to the PhD, the equivalent of at least five full years of service as an Associate Professor at an accredited institution of higher learning.

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in at least one of the following areas: Controls, Electromagnetics, Signal Processing, Power, Communications, Circuits.

Pay

  • The annual salary for this position starts at $110,000 for a 9-month assistant professor.
  • Salaries for associate and full professors are commensurate with the level of experience.
  • Startup packages are tailored to experience and anticipated research needs.
  • Reduced course loads are offered based on scholarly activity.

Schedule

  • 9-month contract
