Responsibilities
- Care of patients with multiple myeloma and amyloidosis, including autologous stem cell transplantation and CAR T cell therapy
- Teaching hematology/oncology fellows, residents, and medical students
- Providing patient care in an outpatient setting and as an attending on the inpatient service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP)
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, nurses, and transplant and cellular therapy coordinators in the outpatient setting
- Providing care to patients on the hematologic malignancies service as an attending
- Engagement in clinical investigation, including participation in clinical trials and case conferences
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology
Qualifications
- 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching
Skills
- Experience and/or advanced training in the conduct of clinical trials (preferred but not required)
- Participation in weekly myeloma clinical trials meeting
- Participation in weekly myeloma case conference and weekly amyloidosis case conference
