Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA) - Lymphoma-Myeloma
About the role
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma, is recruiting for a clinical research faculty member with a sub-specialty of Multiple Myeloma. Physicians with extensive research experience in clinical investigation and outcomes research, particularly in plasma cell dyscrasias such as Amyloidosis, Waldenström’s, MGUS, and stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies in high-risk Multiple Myeloma, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and develop programs, translational clinical research, and scholarly activities in keeping with the goals of the department.
- Seek appropriate funding mechanisms to support translational and clinical research.
- Mentor young faculty, fellows, and other trainees.
- Contribute to the overall mission of the department.
- Collaborate with other clinicians, scientists, and physician-scientists within the institution.
Requirements
The successful candidate must:
- Have a M.D., or M.D. and Ph.D. degrees.
- Be licensed eligible in the State of Texas.
- Have at least 5 years of experience post-degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist, or GME trainee (except specialties with shorter residencies or fellowships).
- Show evidence of commitment to scholarly activity and proof of scientific accomplishments.
- Possess excellent writing and communication skills as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, presentation skills for professional meetings, and the demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding for translational research.

Pay
The salary range is $300,000-$392,069 and will be based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.
