Multiple Myeloma, AC Track Faculty Position

About the role

The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of multiple myeloma.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology or Hematology is required.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching hematology/oncology fellows, residents, and medical students (100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching required).
  • Providing care for patients with myeloma and amyloidosis, including autologous stem cell transplantation and CAR T cell therapy.
  • Delivering patient care in an outpatient setting and as an attending on the inpatient service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP).
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, nurses, and transplant and cellular therapy coordinators in the outpatient setting.
  • Providing care to patients on the hematologic malignancies service as an attending.
  • Engaging in clinical investigation, with a preference for experience and/or advanced training in the conduct of clinical trials.
  • Participating in weekly myeloma clinical trials meetings, myeloma case conferences, and amyloidosis case conferences.
