MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER, College of Engineering, Administration
About the role
The Multimedia Producer develops high-quality visual and multimedia content that supports the College of Engineering's marketing, communications, and storytelling initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role produces graphic design, print materials, video, and digital assets that strengthen the college's brand, highlight research and faculty impact, and support strategic marketing campaigns across web, social media, and publications.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce print materials including Engineer Magazine, annual reports, viewbooks, brochures, mailers, and event posters.
- Prepare final files for print production and coordinate with external vendors (print, mailing, etc.) as needed.
- Develop visual assets for marketing campaigns, websites, presentations.
- Design digital graphics that support storytelling and engagement across platforms.
- Ensure all materials align with College brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Plan, film, and edit video content supporting marketing campaigns, storytelling, and institutional initiatives.
- Produce video for websites, social media, YouTube, and event promotion.
- Collaborate with faculty and MarCom team members to translate research and academic topics into engaging visual content.
- Maintain and organize video assets for future use.
- Create visual assets for social media.
- Develop motion graphics, short-form videos, and other multimedia elements to enhance engagement across channels.
- Lead social media strategy and execution.
- Contribute to platform-specific content approaches that improve reach, engagement, and performance.
- May provide guidance to or supervise student workers or staff supporting social media content creation and execution.
- Photograph events, research labs, and institutional activities when needed.
- Take notes and develop short-form copy for digital platforms to support storytelling and event coverage.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in graphic design, multimedia production, communications, or a related field.
Strong graphic design skills with experience producing print and digital marketing materials including magazines and reports.
Video production and editing experience, including filming, lighting, and post-production.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects preferred).
Experience producing content for digital platforms including websites and social media.
Ability to translate complex topics into clear and engaging visual content.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency and accessibility standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Qualifications
A portfolio of work must be provided in addition to a resume and cover letter.
Skills
Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects preferred).

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and internal pay comparison.
Pay
Minimum $71,925.00
