About the role
WALA/FOX10, the Gulf Coast’s leading news station, is looking for an energetic Multimedia Journalist to join our Mobile/Pensacola newsroom. We need a journalist who follows the news closely, develops strong hard-news leads, and brings forward original story ideas—not just the day’s press releases. The right candidate is a clear communicator, skilled visual storyteller, and comfortable creating for social platforms. This role is for someone willing to request public records, review documents and meeting agendas, and uncover stories that matter to the communities we serve. You will identify, pitch, report, shoot, write, edit, and publish compelling stories, including daily live shots. The successful candidate will be organized, motivated, creative, and an active digital content creator.
