Multimedia Journalist

About the role

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a bilingual multi-media journalist with assertiveness, passion, and social media savvy. The ideal candidate should have solid news judgment, quick thinking, and exceptional communication skills, particularly in live television.

Responsibilities

• Generate stories with minimal direction
• Shoot and edit news stories
• Produce daily content across various platforms
• Develop sources and contacts
• Contribute story ideas daily
• Set up interviews and other appointments for background research
• Report live from the field on breaking stories
• Participate in station-related events
• Maintain close communication with the news team, producers, and news director
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism
• 1-2 years of reporting experience
• Strong live reporting skills
• Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Willingness to work early mornings, mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong understanding of news gathering ethics and legal issues
• Genuine enthusiasm for work and a drive for excellence
• Fluency in both English and Spanish (reading and writing)
• Strong reporting skills

Qualifications

• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to 8 hours
