About the role
The Multimedia Content Specialist is responsible for developing and executing engaging content that strengthens Verve's brand awareness, deepens member engagement, and supports organizational growth. This role serves as Verve's primary creator of video, written, and visual content across digital marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on video storytelling, content production, and brand engagement.
Responsibilities
- Create short-form and long-form video content, produce blogs and written communications, design graphics for social media, and support integrated marketing campaigns.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager and marketing team to maintain a strategic content calendar that supports organizational priorities while ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
- Produce, film, edit, and publish video content for social media, website, digital advertising, recruitment campaigns, educational content, and internal communications.
- Capture photography and video content at branch locations, community events, employee activities, member stories, and organizational initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a strategic content and editorial calendar aligned with marketing objectives and organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with business units across the organization to identify storytelling opportunities and develop content that supports departmental goals.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing Specialist to support website content updates, SEO initiatives, email campaigns, social media strategy, and digital marketing efforts.
- Stay current on social media trends, content best practices, emerging platforms, AI-powered content tools, and video marketing techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Video Production, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in content marketing, social media marketing, communications, journalism, video production, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form and long-form video content for digital platforms.
- Experience writing blogs, social media content, marketing copy, and other professional communications.
- Proficiency with Canva and graphic design best practices.
- Experience with video editing software.
- Photography and videography experience preferred.
- Experience working in a regulated industry is a plus.
Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Exceptional storytelling, copywriting, and content development skills.
- Strong video production and video editing capabilities.
- Proficiency with Canva and modern content creation tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create content tailored to different audiences and digital platforms.
- Understanding of social media strategies, content trends, audience engagement techniques, and platform best practices.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and digital marketing best practices.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and directing others during video production when needed.
- Possess a working knowledge of all relevant banking rules and regulations.
