Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source and underwrite development opportunities
  • Create pro-formas and financial projections for potential developments projects
  • Conduct field investigations including rent studies, neighborhood analysis, entitlements, and land/sales summaries
  • Manage zoning, entitlement, and permitting activities
  • Underwrite projects, analyze market information, operational expenses, and estimate costs
  • Establish project timelines and spending forecasts
  • Compile components for investment packages
  • Presentation of development opportunities
  • Coordinate with construction personnel to meet budget and timing targets
  • Work with third-party consultants on construction plans, entitlements, and financing
  • Strategize with third-party property management companies to maximize returns during lease-up
  • Communicate and coordinate with local officials, brokers, consultants, etc.
  • Participate in decision-making process regarding product, mix, parking, and design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a four-year college or university
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training
  • Proficient in advanced Excel Financial Modeling
  • Proficient in Adobe
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered planner or engineer
  • Experience with Multifamily Municipalities and entitlements
